Counsel/Senior Associate – Residential Real Estate

Rower LLC, a boutique matrimonial and family law firm in New York City, is hiring a senior associate or counsel to lead and develop the firm’s residential real estate practice. The senior associate/counsel will handle residential real estate matters for the firm’s clients and advise internally on residential real estate issues that arise in the matrimonial context. The ideal candidate will possess an entrepreneurial spirit with enthusiasm to build out this practice area within the firm.

This flexible position could be fully remote or hybrid, with requirements to come in as needed for client matters. The compensation for this position could be determined hourly, in the range of $100 to $200 per hour or by a creative compensation system based upon a percentage of what is billed and collected. The candidate must have at least eight years of experience in real estate law and be licensed to practice law in the State of New York (with an additional license to practice in the States of New Jersey or Connecticut a distinguishing qualification). Candidates may have prior experience in either residential or commercial real estate, though the scope of this position will concern residential real estate.
