Siobhan has particular experience representing clients in finance, entertainment, and technology—industries that often bring complicated compensation structures, equity and deferred compensation, closely-held business interests, and multi-jurisdictional considerations into a divorce or prenup. Many of her clients divide their time between New York and California, and she is well versed in the jurisdictional and strategic issues that come with a bicoastal life.

Before turning to family law, Siobhan spent years as a corporate litigator at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP and Covington & Burling LLP, representing financial institutions in complex disputes and advising both companies and executives on compensation matters. That background gives her a sharp, practical eye for the financial complexity that runs through many of her clients’ cases.

Given the sophistication of the matters she handles, Siobhan’s approach with clients is personal. She takes the time to understand what each client actually needs, and she is skilled at helping them see clearly what is worth fighting for—and what is not. She is a careful listener, a creative problem-solver, and a strong advocate for clients who want to resolve their matters efficiently and reasonably rather than escalate every issue into a battle. When litigation is necessary, she is a strong and effective advocate in court.

Siobhan leads Rower’s fertility law practice and has spoken on legal issues related to assisted reproductive technology. She is a fellow of both the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the International Academy of Family Lawyers, a member of the New York State Bar Association’s Family Law Section, and a participant in the New York Women’s Bar Association pro bono project. She also serves as co-chair of the scholar advisory committee for the Jackie Robinson Foundation, mentoring and supporting talented college students.
