Anita joined Rower as an associate in May of 2021 and began her family law career as a staff attorney at Safe Horizon’s Domestic Violence Law Project. While at Safe Horizon, Anita represented survivors of intimate partner violence in matters of custody, child support, divorce, and orders of protection in New York City’s Family and Supreme Courts. Anita is a firm believer in client-centered practice and holistic advocacy. At Rower, Anita represents clients in all facets of their matrimonial proceedings, including prenuptial agreements, and in custody, child support and family offense matters in Family Court.

Anita completed her undergraduate studies at New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study magna cum laude and earned her law degree from Fordham University School of Law, where she graduated with honors. She remains dedicated to public service and involvement in the legal community; she is a co-chair of the New York Women’s Bar Association Matrimonial and Family Law Committee and serves as the vice chair of Young Professionals Board of Access Justice Brooklyn, a non-profit organization providing free civil legal services to Brooklyn residents. In 2023, she was awarded LGBT Bar New York’s Pro Bono Excellence Award for her work representing the non-biological mother of a child in a parentage and custody dispute. Anita is also a member of the New York State Bar Association’s Family Law and International Committees and the New York City Bar Association’s Committee on Children and the Law. Anita is fluent in Spanish, which was her first language, and is proficient in French and conversational in Italian.

Outside of work, Anita is an avid traveler, reader of contemporary literature, and yogi. She resides in Brooklyn with her husband and their two rescue animals.
